Great work, Nick. I love that you're putting together a dream team of like-minded people to cover AI in education, which will only become a more pressing and relevant topic as time goes by. I'll have to give this post the time it deserves and read it more carefully (for now I only managed to skim it).

Thanks, Daniel. I am excited to hear what you think. You are one of my favorite readers. I keep forgetting to put your Substack in my favorite Substack list at the end of my Monday message. This week, I will not be forgetting. This is my effort to forge a deep connection in my brain!!!

You're too kind, Nick - no pressure at all from my side. All of us can't possibly include every writer we admire on every list. This article is definitely on my "to read" to-do - so I'm sure to get around to it!

No pressure felt. You are someone I have come to rely on for my AI tech updates. Happy to get people connected to your project!

I now had the chance to dive into some of the details. Lance Cummings' discussion of how we've been too content-centric, along with your "process over product" approach resonate a lot. In my view, they are related concepts and it looks like AI will eventually force us to shift to a new paradigm: Instead of grading memorized answers, we'll have to evaluate students holistically on their ability to work through problems collaboratively, their process, and so on.

I'm quite excited that my kids are in school now that we're on the verge of a very different era in eductation.
