This also goes to show how narrow the meaning of "learning" is in the machine learning community.

Yet another collab between the dynamic duo? That's what I like to see.

Thanks for the solid background on the theories about human learning. I look forward to the much-hyped AI part by Alejandro!

Back at it again. This was a lot of fun to put together. Alejandro does an amazing job with the next section. I can’t wait to share it with everyone!

Wow! That was meaty. So much to process I think I need to read it a couple times to wrap my head around it. Thanks for such a thorough part 1!

Great insights! Learning is one of those simple sounding, easy to 'get' but shockingly hard to really grok.

Thanks, Michael. I like the multi prong approach. Piaget- individual, Vygoysky- social, etc. You need multiple vantage points to get a handle on what we are doing when we learn. Even then theory only approximates what is actually happening.

I always love to see us redefining fundamental concepts, and the best way to do that is to consider them through a new lens. Our lens today is AI, and it's an incredibly useful mirror on ourselves. Nice work to you both!

Keep it up! This is the sort of brain-dance we (collectively) can help with, I think. We can raise general awareness about the way we (humans) think, and there's a lot of folks willing to help us think about this once they realize how fascinating it (thought/thinking) is.

Thanks, Andrew. I know my fire is lit. The build is very slow right now. But I will keep plugging away.
